Project Description

Upon reaching the thirteenth anniversary of our studio, we wanted to produce a printed promotional piece that would showcase the work we're most proud of. We went back and revisited each project individually, digging up process images, sketches, and multiple iterations in order to tell the story of each work rather than focusing on just the polished end products. We also included a section in the center of the book (marked by a change in stock) that takes a deep dive into the history, people, and location of the studio. We created a timeline of the studio that shows our growth over the years and a few entertaining anecdotes.

Production Lesson(s)

Our production risk on this piece was the cover. We wanted to duplex the Brighthue Lemon to the Via Light Grey to get the color contrast on the inside front cover. We weren't sure how this would work with the perfect binding. Brightformat ended up duplexing the paper for the inside front cover, but avoiding the area that would be on the spine so the cover sits flat and doesn't bow. It worked exactly as we hoped. ”
