Project Description

We’ve all grown up being told the classic Fairy Tales. They have been passed down generation after generation and passed the test of time. As children they are embedded in our subconscious as stories of right and wrong, as cautionary tales, filled with characters imbued with larger than life qualities, and sometimes they are just plain weird. We love these stories that remind us of a time our world was filled with a little more mystery, and a little more wonder. When the unknowns had to be explained with allegories, and apparently animals were wiser than us. This Fairy Tales art print series comes from our inner child, and we hope it awakens the same in you, no matter what age you are.

Production Lesson(s)

One thing I really like to play with is overprinting to get additional colors out laying two inks over each other. I have done this quite a few times before, and it can be simulated in Photoshop. Usually I set my layers to ‘Multiply’ and I get a pretty accurate result with the real life print. This one turned out different than what I was expecting, but still worked out well.”
