Project Description

The number six of the i.E. Magazine was produced under the responsibility of the students of Design and Graphic Arts Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. In addition to the challenge of producing the full contents and design all the magazine, they wanted to innovate with respect to layout and graphic production. For the cover they used silkscreen printing technic to achieve different colours in almost every cover. Despite that they have used eight different foils in the magazine logo.  Again, all the production, printing and finishing was done using the equipment available in the graphic arts laboratory of the Polytechnic of Tomar.

Production Lesson(s)

It is always dramatic to work with a mix of printing technologies. Combining silkscreen, offset, foil stamping, and digital print it's always a challenge but the students embrace them and try to create an appealing object.”
