Project Description

KieferNümann is one of Germany’s leading agencies for film and content, producing high quality image films, TV-commercials, event films, virals, etc. for a variety of big to small clients.

KittoKatsu was asked to redesign their identity after having undergone a re-naming and brand re-positioning process at the beginning of this year. The identity we have developed expresses the continuously high quality KieferNümann delivers to their clients as well as their creativity and flexibility. This is achieved by giving the logo a solid chore, the KN initials, paired with a range of flexible pattern elements that can be used in conjunction with the logo or as playful elements throughout the identity.

The Mailing
The direct mailing was sent out by KieferNümann to inform their clients about their change in name and identity. Our goal for the mailing was to not only create something that’s visually appealing, but to have people experience the flexible nature of the new identity and get them excited about this new chapter in the company’s history. In order to achieve that, we developed a custom die-cut envelope that simulates the pattern change when pulling out the card inside. Once outside the backside of the card shows illustrations of all the team members.

Production Lesson(s)

We tried combining different printing methods and papers to create something that people feel excited about and will want to interact with, while not going overboard with the budget. By using a simple children's book like pull-out effect, we tried to have a maximum effect with minimal construction time and complications. A change in name is not always easily taken in by existing clients and this nicely crafted and interactive printed piece really helped to get them to feel excited and positive about it.”
