Stuff Goin’ on

As you may have noticed we have some new authors on Speak Up grounds. Obviously, you have all met Tan from Grip fame. Yesterday marked a breakthrough in Jon Selikoff’s interactive advancement by joining us. And we will soon be hearing from Graham Wood of Tomato, as our own personal European correspondant.

I’m glad to see five (yes 5!) people have bought Emigre #64 at amazon.com as a referral from Speak Up. If you are not whithin those five, make sure you get a copy soon, ’cause Sam is probably scratching walls for holding it all in.

What else? Yes, Joy Olivia Miller has had a wicked new idea for Speak Up. I can’t reveal it yet, but it will be g o o d.

And if anybody is going to see Hillman Curtis tonight, be sure to say hi. I’ll be wearing a sweet tshirt (that’s not me, I’m not that svelt.)

Update: Silly me, I forgot to mention the addition of Damien’s Busy Corner in the business section by none other than, yes you guessed it, Damien Newman. Go pay a little visit to his inaugural article.

I still don't see why Speak Up can't just be a printed newsletter. ;-)

Just a little correction, Armin -- it's just Grip. And for all you Chicagoans out there -- no, we are not related to Grip Design in your fair city. Just for the record, our company is older, so we had the name first dammit.

Yes, I'm glad to be here. You guys are nuts.

And while I'm here, I just want to applaud Rebecca's satirical counter-statement to my "Elicit" Word-Its. She's totally right -- we can be a bunch of sexist, opinionated, foul-mouthed, gaseous, frat boys. Not necessarily the most inviting environment for women. So I say, yes, bring it on ladies. Join the ruckus and call us on our crap anywhere you see it.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm going to change....but I celebrate it nevertheless.

Oh wow. I can't resist.

What truly diverse forum would be complete without gassy frat boys? Welcome Tan!
