i just did this for a tshirt for a certain chain of crab shacks. there are 6 more that are just as stupid (there will be one for each month eventually). i'm embarrassed. i really want to do one with the crab as a leprachaun, though!

This is a product, but if you have kids (or even maybe if you don't) you have to appreciate both its goofiness and utility: Octodog (via Simplebits)

Octodog

I really tried to keep my mind out of the gutter when checking this out. I couldn't.

Mornin folks. Anything for your Kiran.

Ok, here's my favorite goofy web music video. CRANK UP the volume.

Warning, it's catchy and will get into your head.

I'll drop more fun stuff later.

I keep this on my desk, it always brings a smile to my face. I found it on the back of a comic book in a 25 cent bin at my local used book store.

Corey...that must have been written back in the early 80's while waiting for the next Star Wars. Apparently Yoda was doing a bit of freelance copywriting. Nice find!

I saw this at the Jewels by my house and had to buy it... and if you can't see it take a closer look. I had a bunch more of crazy stuff, but its at home. Next time.

I printed this on April 1st of this year. It's creepy, but not as creepy as this.

Rhizome.org is in the processing of posting my little brother's grad project. It's one of those uses of technology that baffles, yet fascinates.

Another odd experiment that I read about somewhere but can't find the source of, was an artist who stuck a bunch of those tiny library sized pencils into a tennis ball so it looked like a porcupine. Then he covered the entire inside of a box with white drawing paper. He put the ball in and sent it to a friend. The motion of the package during shipping produced a "chaos" image that was quite interesting.

An ergonomic keyboard for pirates.

Rick G’s comment is:

Awesome, thanks.

Hotmail sucks, but my work email is watched with a huge evil eye upstairs. All of you working freelance and wishing you had a 9-to-5 somewhere, you don't know how good ya got it.

On the other hand, this is a big healthcare company, not a "real" shop...

I got this from a couple of different people today:

1> Go to Google

2> Type "weapons of mass destruction" and click "I'm feeling lucky"

3> Read & enjoy.

Playing Helvetica, I lost to Arial. I feel I've let the entire typographic community down. Maybe if I could play Akzidenz Grotesk...

I just randomly came across this.

Open microsoft word. Type in Q33NY, one of the flight numbers that hit the WTC, and change the font to Wingdings.

Creepy.
