First Batch of Posters up for Viewing

The first — albeit small — albeit good! — batch of posters for the contest have trickled in. Please step into the Viewing Den to see what people are doing. If seeing these first posters triggers any questions, now is the time to ask them.

If you submitted a poster and it is not up there, please let us know, we might have overlooked it by mistake.

And if your poster is there, don’t say which one is yours, just play dumb.

Armin, regarding the two "sleep" posters: see Section 5, #1 of Speak_Up_Poster_Rules.pdf.

For those who don't know section 5.1 by heart:

"You may submit up to three designs. They have to be completely different from each other. Different quote and different design. You can use a quote twice as long as it is vastly different. Different!"

I would deem the two "sleep" posters different enough. Where I would probably raise the flag is if the same design was submitted in different colors. The background on the first one is obviously very different than the second one, hence, allowable.

I wouldn't mind a version of the TypeGeekWars poster that'd work nice as a desktop for my computer...

Good point! I'm going to have desktop pix to last a long time from this competition! Grey be damned!

And yeah, the type geek wars is awesome. Whomever you are: I hate you.

It's a joke. Don't read to much into it.

The person that initiated the QUOTE.

Perhaps, is unaware his place of employment Landor has had many years of

representation in GDUSA Annual Competition.

I find GDUSA refreshing and better representation of Visual Communication. Than other publications that only Cater to the Rich and Famous.

Albeit, shunning up and coming talent.

The Comment and Pictogram should not to be taken seriously.

I know. I was just being silly. :)

For showing new talent, Step into Design magazine has been doing a good job of that too. At least for Missouri.
