Designed by Bryant Ross.
There is a well worn, middle-American industrial feel that starts with the name (Second Home) and permeates all aspects of this restaurant. Everything about it—from the menu designed using Mark Simonson’s mid-twentieth century vernacular typeface (Refrigerator), to menu items like Mile High Meatloaf or Chicken and Waffles, to the interior photos—rests in the balance between modern sophistication and hospitable coziness. The website even claims the restaurant is, “Like a big hug at the end of a long day.” Second Home looks like a great place to settle in for some modern American classics, a micro-brewed beer and some great conversation.
