Designing a wedding invitation for a close friend is both a treat and an honor—something we designers don’t often take lightly. Monique Kneepkens found a unique way to interlace the names of the couple in a way that resembled what taking the vows means. A coming together, entwined to create something bigger and more beautiful.

My beautiful friends Jade and Tash asked me to do their wedding invite. I did the invite as a folded poster, that came in a clear pocket. The pocket showed a decorative illustration that I hand drew, showing Jade’s name on one side, and Tash’s name on the other side. When one takes the poster out of the clear pocket, the two halves reveal one love-heart. The poster unfolds to an A3 announcement poster, with the full heart-drawing shown and the wedding information.
