Oliver Bourne explains of this lead receipt: “The objective of this project is to highlight how much packaging is used in a weekly shop and to encourage people to really think about recycling and the products they buy. To achieve this I weighed all the packaging waste from one of my weekly shops and reconfigured the shopping receipt to show the weight of each piece of packaging waste instead of its price. The total of the waste amounted to 2,840g [6.2 lb], this is also the actual weight of the lead receipt.”
