Eventbrite’s comprehensive platform enables creators of all shapes and sizes with tools and resources to seamlessly plan, promote, and produce live events around the world.”
Images (opinion after)
The old logo was one of my least favorite wordmark customizations in, like, ever. So it is with some glee that I post this redesign. There isn’t any information or press release or additional images and given that the old logo had only been out for two years maybe Eventbrite wanted to just slip this through without much fanfare or attracting too much attention, which is understandable. There is also not a whole lot of explanation needed on the new logo: it’s a geometric sans serif in lowercase. Any explanation would be extraneous. What makes this stand out from other geometric sans serif wordmarks is the introduction of an angle in many of the characters, notably all the “e”s in the name and echoed in the tops of the “t” and the “b” — although questionably not in the second “t”. The new logo isn’t amazing by any means but it’s pleasant, it looks contemporary, and it has a good presence in both small and large sizes. The peculiar tilt on the “e” allows to stand well on its own as the social media avatar. Unlike the previous redesign that I couldn’t even, with this one I would actually like to see more of it.
Thanks to Rahul Rao for the tip.
