Charles S. Anderson
Charles S. Anderson is a design entrepreneur and creative director. Anderson's company CSA Design specializes in creating brand identities, in addition to analog, digital, and interactive products, and is among the profession's most influential design firms. CSA Design's early work for the French Paper Company helped create a new design approach by merging elements of the past and present, resulting in a modern design aesthetic that continues to this day. In addition to their client work, CSA Design is unique in creating an extensive archive of licensable artwork, and has expanded the definition of design. Throughout his career, Anderson has championed the idea of design as a product rather than solely a service to corporations. CSA Design has produced award-winning work for a diverse list of clients including Target, French Paper, Nike, Paramount Pictures, CustomInk, The New York Times, Facebook, Speck, Turner Classic Movies, Urban Outfitters, and others. CSA Design's work has been exhibited in museums worldwide, including the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and other institutions. In 2014 Anderson was honored with the AIGA Medal for exceptional achievement in the field of design.
