This invitation box contains a small miracle: golden lokta paper sent through a laser printer. Working within the tight design constraints of no budget or time, the designers at Travel + Leisure present a shiny, hand-assembled solution that feels way more luxurious than the $2-per-piece price tag. The only thing that gives away the hand-made factor are the scrapbooky paper punches but even those are, technically, die-cuts.

The T+L design studio was faced with the challenge of creating VIP invites for the first ever Travel + Leisure Global Bazaar. The invite was to contain a personalized letter from the publisher and 2 all access passes to the event. Since the quantity was unknown and we had no budget or time — we needed to come up with a solution that could be produced in-house and for a minimal amount of money.

First step was finding a container or envelope. The invite needed to feel lux and global. We did some research and were inspired by Indian wedding invite boxes, so we ordered a box of them (pretty inexpensive). In order to make this feel special on the inside we decided to focus on the paper. After testing out some artisanal papers we finally found the perfect Gold Lokta (and we could run it through the printer).
