In an effort to create an object that matches the nature of the event, these invitations brandish one luxurious treatment after another. When recipients open the envelope to discover hand lettering, letterpress, blind embossing, spot varnish, and hand-painted edges there should be no doubt that this will be one ritzy affair.

Project Description

The 2012 ANA Masters of Marketing dinner, co-hosted by Leo Burnett, Adweek, and Gannett merited a unique hand lettered invitation. Letter-pressed with a blind emboss and spot varnish, Leo spared no production expense creating an invitation as premium as the event itself.

Production Lesson(s)

I worked with such a fantastic team on the project, the piece really sings. I truly owe it all to them.

As for lessons learned, next time I'd work + collaborate with the printer to make certain hand-lettered elements carry enough weight in small sizes to make a strong enough impression in production. We had to work as a team to make certain the small type elements translated well.”
