The team at Sarankco loves any excuse to celebrate, and the holidays are no exception. In lieu of the typical self-promotional propaganda, however, they participate in an annual coat drive—purchasing new coats for those in need. This embroidered announcement let’s friends and clients know that someone will be warm this season because of their gift.

Project Description

Sarankco is big on celebrations, and the holidays are especially festive. As the year ends, we're especially thankful for our clients and strategic partners. To show our gratitude, we have a holiday tradition of giving back to our neighbors through the New York Cares Annual Winter Coat Drive. On behalf of our clients, we purchase and package new winter coats for those in need of warmth. Our 2014 holiday card was specially designed and produced using our signature colors and a beautiful stitching technique to reinforce the message of our coat drive effort in a visual manner.

Production Lesson(s)

We expected varying results in terms of quality from the embroidery shop, so we decided to adhere the embroidered piece to front of the card so as not to risk wasting any sheets that had already been trimmed, scored, and engraved. Using one shop to score and trim cards to size, another to engrave, and a third to embroider created some complex logistics which required us to do final assembly in-house to meet our deadline. ”
