Dominic Wilcox has created a pair of GPS-powered shoes inspired by The Wizard of Oz — tap your heels together and the GPS is activated. Right shoe LED dots specify distance, left shoe point the direction in which to go.

During Emmanuel Jose’s undergraduate years he was introduced to the art of papercutting. Starting in 2011, he began creating a hand-cut two-foot card every week resulting in a full deck. This year, his theme is birds and you can follow his journey (and the previous year’s work) on his website.

This looks very promising. SkyFonts by Monotype Imaging is a cloud-based service that allows you to test fonts directly in your applications plus gives you the option to “rent” fonts for a specific amount of time, instead of having to buy them.
