One of the most frequent questions I get asked about is in regards to making a book. Is it hard? How do you go about it? How long does it take? Etc. Since there is no formula to guide the process, and there are too many variables to consider, the only way to know the answers is by jumping in and making a book. Which is what Julia Lingertat did for her mid-bachelor deliverable—a book not only about the past, but about her learning curve of undertaking this kind of project.
A personal and intimate cookbook with recipes, stories and photos from different grand-fathers. This book is in opposition to the mainstream highly-polished and unauthentic cookbooks you usually find in bookstores. Cooking is very personal and dirty, and this book should show what real cooking is all about.
This is my first real book I designed, so I learned a lot by doing it all by myself. Especially in terms of time management and what a book consist of.
Hopefully we can see more than a one-of-a-kind book from Julia soon…
