Czech band, Charlie Straight has some swanky (that’s right, swanky) ID tags to compliment their visual identity designed by Visual Scream. They are passed out to various crew members, photographers, and grou… I mean guests. The translucent acrylic looks fantastic with the inks silkscreened on the front and backs. The design is nicely minimal and the typography is bold and clean.

Our main intention was to create durable and distinguishable ID tags for the client, a music band called Charlie Straight. The classic approach to this kind of application didn’t give us enough space for creativity and always lead to rather mediocre results. Also, the client asked for at least two different sizes and shapes of the tags.

For these reasons, we decided to print the graphic on laser-cut acrylic glass plates we designed. By printing background the color on the rear side of the plates and main graphics on the front, we’ve created a 3D effect which looks a bit different every time you look at it, based on viewing angle and light conditions. The print design gets more dynamic and lively this way.

The color key, fonts and logo are all part of visual identity we designed a few months ago for the band.
