Project Description

Based in Canggu, Bali, Khatulistiwa is Kartina Dirix and Leonard Lumanauw. This adventurous couple decided to run a travel consultancy business, with diving and surfing as their forte. Thus born Khatulistiwa.

The word Khatulistiwa is actually derived from Arabic word which is commonly used in Bahasa Indonesia, it means equator. Khatulistiwa aims to bring people to see the raw, untouched beauty of Indonesian nature and culture. Based on that idea, we create the key visuals using linocut method to maintain that raw, primitive look.

The name card is screen-printed in several alternating colors, with edge coloring as finishing touch.

Production Lesson(s)

We've chosen 500gsm Beer Mat paper so that we can cater edge coloring. For uncoated paper like Beer Mat, it's good to utilize screen printing method for both side's surface. ”
