These cards seem to work pretty well, because I’m instantly reminded of how lucky I am to live in the Lone Star State. Yeehaw, indeed.

Project Description

This project was created as part of a welcome packet for a client moving from Canada to Texas. Our agency is passionate about travel and how it can both excite and educate one's design thinking, yet we're also proud Texans. Using simple icons of Canadian culture on one side and the Texas equivalent on the other, these flash cards were made to help in the transition from the Great White North to the Deep South. Yee-haw, y'all.

Production Lesson(s)

DIY, double-sided printing on an in-office inkjet printer (no matter how nice) is not your friend. There was a lot of trial and error involved in setting up the document's and printer's settings. At first my designs featured a subtle border on all four sides. It was such a nightmare getting the front and backs to align, that I was forced to abandon ship. Next time around, I will definitely design full bleed.”
