This poster has no printing techniques to boast. There is nothing really special about how it was printed and distributed to roar about. Yet I simply had to share it with you because of the work done before the production started — the work within the illustration done by Yulia Brodskaya and the design and art direction of MINE™. With incredible attention to detail she works the edges of each colored paper to form negative spaces that when reflected with each other create fields of color.

This is equally beautiful and mind-blowing. Amazing work.

Wow. I love when designers combine many elements of art to create a print piece. This is truly beautiful.

This technique of image-making (illustrating using the edges of colored paper) is called "quilling." I love that such an old (it supposedly dates back to the 18th century), and perhaps forgotten way of creating imagery is able to delight viewers today.
