Following the lead of the 2010 Brand New Awards book, the 2010 FPO Awards book is a compact, uncoated bundle of goodness. Due to some project overlap we were slow in getting the book finished but once we were able to focus on it, we banged it out in about a month of design and editing plus another month of production.

This time around we were able to add a slight punch of extra print love on the cover thanks to BurdgeCooper’s generous offer to print the cover and engrave the typography on the front. The effect is subtle, but once you rub it you can’t stop rubbing it. This required a pretty straightforward coordination of getting the cover sheets from Los Angeles to San Antonio for binding with the interior of the book, which was printed again with our trusty printers, Capital Printing, here in Austin.

Things went remarkably smooth and I was able to press check the whole interior in a single day.
