Project Description

The Wolf Brand Book is a unique tool in which the new identity and brand strategy created for Wolf Oil is presented. Today's engines are highly sophisticated pieces of art. Wolf lubricants bring them to life, and provide them the vital energy to enhance their performance and endurance. To visually translate this concept, the engine parts were treated like high-detailed jewelry. The pure, clean and transparent splash of oil is literally like a vital fluid that bring them to life. The macroscopic images of oil help to translate the tagline "vital lubricant" and imitate the microscopic image of cellular life. The book is divided in 4 sections; the Strategy, the Brand Guidelines, the Graphical Language, the Visual Language, and a lot of examples in the Branding Applications.

Production Lesson(s)

The UV spot Varnish on dark images of the engine's parts was a bad idea as it tends to clip the parts from the black background (which was not the intention in the shoot: the shadow and the darkest part of the engines' parts was supposed to fade into the black background.)”
