Through 114 pages this book shows a deep exploration on a logo as a means to communicate thorough thinking and an approach that is deeply genuine to the team behind it. Using a single color, graphic explorations, and typography they convey who they are, and what they are about, rather quickly, but the lengthier book form feels just right.

Project Description

Addepar Form Studies collects an exploration of compositions derived from Addepar’€™s logo. The book simultaneously serves as a library of visual concepts for the brand identity and a reference for design process and methods accessible to designers and non-designers alike. It is a product of the in-house design team at Addepar.

Production Lesson(s)

We found that a lighter paper stock for the book jacket was more flexible and easier to fit to the book. We had to be careful not to print the ink too heavily since it would wrinkle the paper, but not too thin as the mixture with Epic Black could create a green hue. ”
