Project Description

We really wanted a ballsy business card to drive home our studio philosophy of standing out and being different. We were set on a neon spot color to achieve our goal of not blending in, but we also wanted a beefy card. Moo's Luxe line is a great way to get a quadplex card in low quantities with fantastic quality. Unfortunately, Moo does not provide spot color at this time, so we printed the card fronts with them and had a local offset printer do backs with black logo and a double hit of PMS 805. The dimensions with the offset printer were slightly larger than with Moo so we could spray mount the front and backs together and hand trim. We now technically have 5 layers with a thickness of 1/16 inch. We received 250 offset backs and just order more Moo fronts as we need them and assemble on our down time.

Production Lesson(s)

Don't be afraid to combine multiple print sources to get what you want. Also, one of hit of neon PMS 805 would have been good enough vs. two... it's bright! ”
