Zoyes Creative is a boutique design and marketing company that is also closely associated with an architectural model-making and rendering company, a partnership they fully used when producing their latest holiday card.

We send out holiday cards every year and this year we wanted to do something a little different. As I usually consider myself an interactive/web designer, I like to bring that sort of element of interactivity into other aspects of my work, outside of the computer screen. The content on the inside of the card better articulates what we were trying to get across to the recipients (our clients, friends, vendors, etc).

There were many challenges that confronted us throughout production. As we had just moved offices and merged businesses, we had very little time and money to devote to the project. This required us to decide on a concept and stick to it very quickly. The cards were designed and printed, and then came the steps involved to laser cut each and every card. Most of the time spent was during this time—laser cutting 250 cards, folding, cutting string, inserting into vellum envelopes, etc.

The snowflakes are connected at each corner point by a small amount of paper so that the snowflakes can be easily popped out.
