Seagram’s Gingerly New Look

Seagram's Logo, Before and After

Originally owned by the now defunct Seagram Company Ltd, Seagram’s is a line of mixers and the more well known ginger ales owned and distributed by the Coca-Cola Company, which acquired its rights in 2002. Seagram’s Ginger Ale was a staple at the Brooklyn-based headquarters of UnderConsideration from 2007 to 2009 and since moving to Texas, where Seagram’s is not available, we’ve had to settle for, like, water. Digression aside, Coca-Cola Company has been expanding Seagram’s marketing and distribution in recent years and their latest move is a complete overhaul of the identity and packaging, designed by San Francisco, CA-based Hatch.

Follow-Up: Indio Beer

Indio, Follow-up

A couple of weeks ago we reported on the package redesign of Mexican beer, Indio. The design credit was attributed to Mexico City-based Olabuenaga Chemistri but that was incorrect, they are the local advertising agency that did the roll-out. For the record, the proper credit goes to London-based Bulletproof. Official project description and images included in this post.

Runa, the first beverage company in North America to sell guayusa, then produces tea products sold at Whole Foods and other specialty stores. It began with loose leaf and boxed tea bag options but is now launching its first line of bottled guayusa that enters a crowded marketplace of tea and energy drinks. In March, Runa introduced a new logo and unveiled the packaging designed by New York-based Mucca Design.

With a big emphasis on being green and sustainable, the company claims that a “typical Ocado delivery has a lower overall carbon footprint than walking to your local supermarket.” This month Ocado is rolling out new packaging for its own brand of products, designed by London-based Jones Knowles Ritchie (jkr).
