MediaOcean is a new company that is the result of the merger of Donovan Data Systems Inc and MediaBank LLC. Their combined value is reported at $1.5 billion and together will process $150 billion in global advertising spending annually. MediaOcean “provides software that lets ad agencies book advertising time, make sure those ads appear properly, bill clients and pay the media platforms that host the ads.” Press release here.

Airing on ESPN, in one form or another, since its introduction in 1979, ESPN College Basketball is exactly what the name implies, growing ever more comprehensive and ambitious over the years. Troika, who also redesigned ESPN College Football, have designed a new logo and on-air package for ESPN around the them of Mayhem. Established in 1972, DVF is the fashion company of designer Diane von Furstenberg, known for her fabulous patterns and prints. Based in Baltimore since 1954, the Orioles are an American League baseball team in Major League Baseball. Chris Creamer reports on the new uniforms for the 2012 season and the return (and evolution) of the cartoon oriole to replace the more realistic oriole as the insignia on the cap.

FIA-NET provides e-commerce solutions for websites in France and its logo is an assurance that a shopping transaction is secure. A new identity has been created by Lyon- and Paris-based Graphéine. Founded in 2005, JOBY produces the very popular GorillaPod line of flexible tripods, among others. A new logo was introduced recently, designed by Indicate Design Groupe.
Established in 1975, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is a leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. A new logo has been introduced by JDRF, which is also downplaying the “Juvenile” angle of their organizations as 85% of those affected with T1D are adults. From the press release: “An essential graphic element in the logo design is the unique and clever inclusion of the ‘T1D’ symbol. Intentionally subordinate to the JDRF name, the symbol reinforces our focus on type 1 diabetes, and moves us toward establishing T1D as identifiable shorthand.”
The Arkansas Museum of Discovery (named in 1997) in Little Rock, AR dates as far back as 1927 when it was known as The Arkansas Museum of Natural History and Antiquities. The Museum of Discovery is moving to a new building and they have introduced a new logo designed by local firm Stone Ward. Logo announcement here.
